“Un Libro Sobre Mi Padre is intended as a diary, in which a blank book is filled with texts, sorted by date, and intended for the private reading of the writer. It is written with the intention of venting thoughts or recent past events that have affected the author, resulting sometimes in deep explorations of the mind; it may also be used as a place to express and articulate feelings.
This project attempts to subjectively reconstruct memories emptied into a plastic image, using embroidery, prints and fabrics where emotions take shape and form a story to replace the word for the image without the intention of reaching a narrative, and to generate sensible forms in search of sympathy from the other. The diary, even if created as a private act, always has the desire to be disturbed by curiosity or voyeurism. By making these diaries I was also looking for the desire of the writer (and in this case painter) to be read and the desire of the reader (in this case the seer) to access my loss in search of themselves."
